A private banker from Geneva flies to Argentina in the midst of a dictatorship to take over matters of his business partner, who has vanished. He stumbles onto the dirty world of politics, where no one knows anything or to be more specific, doesn’t ‘see anything.’ If anyone is familiar with the dirty war, they know some shady shit went down in Argentina during that period.

I never knew corruption and evil could be presented with such sophistication. Andreas Fontana gives…

Pedro Almodóvar has never been more compelling. As a nation that has undergone some dark chapters in its history, Spain should suffice with endless ideas for dramas. A worthy sequel which carries the same satirical elements that underlies the first Scream. Everything even to the playful in-universe Scream copycat movie) is fun to watch, and I love seeing how evolved Sidney has gotten from the predecessor. What’s a little disappointing are the new characters, none of which are interesting, and the reveal of the killer(s?) which is part of a cringe climax. Like really cringe.

I turn 25 next month so this reallyyyy hit hard.

This movie rocked, the musical numbers are outstanding in terms of creativity, and the insight into Jonathan Parsons’ short lived life serves as a great introduction to the art of musical plays. Andrew Garfield’s singing skills are impressive, truly one of the finer performances of this year. Most of all this really resonated with me. Wasn’t expecting this to get very emotionally. Might have to watch Rent now.

Chances are, if you’ve ever read a ‘Greatest Movies Ever’ list, Citizen Kane is on there. Directed by Orson Welles (in his first rodeo), the 1941 drama was so groundbreaking that it still has critics and cinephiles discussing it to this day. Thanks to its character’s story, its stunning cinematography and more, the film has maintained its strong legacy, which is, perhaps, just as legendary as the troubled history behind its making. Kane has undergone many controversies, primarily because of…
