Why?

Sure she had barely any lines in this movie, but she didn’t need them. Peggy saw right through her Father since she was a tiny girl, likely the only person to unmask his facade, Frank knew this all along, and I believe he still carries it with him, a daughter who doesn’t like you—that alone is a fate worse than death. The impact of Peggy and all she meant to Frank is so very symbolic. His favorite daughter, the one person in his life to ask why. One word, it’s all she needed. What a line.

An astounding epic from start to finish. A completely devastating portrait of the loneliest man alive.
