When I first saw the trailers to The Mitchells vs. The Machines, I originally thought that this was going to be stupid and Netflix is only making this movie just for the kids. However, I was really wrong. The movie was so much fun to watch and does contain plenty of charm as a dysfunctional family found themselves in a robotic apocalypse and will do anything in their power to save the day from worldwide techno-domination. The stylish 3D animation really explodes on screen with such great care and it absolutely looked really good for an exclusive animated movie on Netflix. Can you even imagine the film being released in theaters with extra 3D capability to make the animation pop up? I can only imagine it would look amazing on the big screen.

Every character across the whole family has their own turn to shine especially with the mother figure towards the end. Once she got into the action and heard familiar music, she gives The Bride's drive into action a run for her money. Plus, the thing that really got me was how the film was able to address technology. Technology is not good, but it's not all that bad at the same time. The movie really showcases its theme on how technology can affect the human minds whether it may be considered as a helpful resource or as a distraction from humanity. While the humor can get repetitive at times and the storyline can be predictable, that doesn't take away the fun I had watching The Mitchells vs. The Machines.

It is on Netflix, so its worth your time if you need a movie that'll put a smile on your face!
