Yeah after watching this movie, I decided Rosario Dawson needed to be added to my celebrity crushes list... Oh yeah that's right she was already on there, this movie just somehow made me adore her even more.
Anyway on to reviewing the actual movie, "Top Five" is definitely of all the praise it's been receiving. Packed with a fabulous cast, many hysterical scenes that still had me laughing like 5 minutes later, wonderful performances and terrific chemistry between its two leads, surprising heart, terrific direction from Chris Rock, and a witty script, this was definitely a laugh riot from start to finish and one of the most fun I've had at the movies all year. It manages to be a bit of a satire on the lifestyle and what it's like to be a star in Hollywood thankfully without ever really getting self-praising or smug. Some pacing issues and a fairly predictable plot aside, this is by far one of the best comedies of the year, and I look forward to what Chris Rock does in the future. Also, pitch perfect ending.
