A bad version of this doc would have made the claim: Crumb’s a horrid guy but he comes from a horrid place. Luckily this movie says something completely different: Crumb’s a horrid guy and he comes from a horrid place.
Other key realizations for me:

Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets 2020
Unfortunately I read the secret thing about this movie before watching it, and that affected my experience watching it. But this was a really great movie. Me and my friends throw the word bleak around a lot, and I was gonna use it on this but the more I watched, I actually felt that this movie was extremely compassionate and intended to depict care. :-)
