it's difficult for me to process that this mid-2000s slosh came from the same director that gave us 'mommy'. my brain literally registers a 404 error when i think about it.
credit to susan sarandon for saying the line "everybody else likes my beef bourgignon" with such sincerity. truly a masterclass in acting.
it's remarkable how every scene is a trainwreck. films like these make me wonder if the actors realise that they're participating in junk or if they're just hoping it all comes together on the cutting room floor. in this case, absolutely nothing did.
