    This really didn’t work for me. I walk in with anti-Jared Leto bias (don’t hate him just not a fan and think he’s overrated as an actor), and this did nothing to sway me. He doesn’t have the chops for this role. Also, and I realize it pre-dates, but his old man laugh is exactly his Joker laugh, and it completely took me out of the movie.

    Given that the movie revolves around choice, I find many of the choices…

    Oh my, do I heart Jim Cummings. After Thunder Road and now this I can't wait to see what's next. Besides another great performance, he shows a growth in the direction and style of the film that I wasn't expecting. He is a master of juggling tone. This is a horror/comedy, but that's an oversimplification that doesn't do justice to the range on display here, especially in regards to the subtext and the handling of alcoholism.     Larry Hagman should have directed more movies.  Didn’t see that coming.  I need to know how this was possibly made, which parts were intentionally funny and which parts unintentionally funny.  

    Why did Burgess Meredith and Sid Haig have cameos in this?  The internet has so much to tell me.

    This was so stupidly fun that I felt compelled to write something.  I haven’t been this conflicted on a rating since The Room.  The Criterion Channel comes through again.
