This REALLY clicked with me on rewatch. Know it may be film Twitter blasphemy, but in the words of Mr. Pesci, "fuck em!"
I had a MUCH better viewing experience watching this at home.
It gave me the comfort of really living in this melancholic world without being trapped in uncomfy art house seats like with my first viewing. This movie is transcendent, filled with career best performances from the three leads, and has a last act that is pure, heartbreaking perfection.
