that was the very first movie I watched in theaters as a kid, watched it once a year for the past 20 years yet every single rewatch is a whole new experience.
that being said gandalf just has to say "fly you fools" and boromir "my king" and I will sob like a baby... countless rewatches your whole life isn’t enough to prepare you. these scenes WILL still hit you harder than lurtz’s arrows.
so... I’m literally in tears right now.
this movie really triggered so many things in me, thoughts and feelings I’ve always avoided, but I couldn’t escape them while watching this. it made me face reality in the most beautiful way. I think I need time to process the amount of emotions I’m feeling right now.

AGED LIKE FINE DORNISH WINE, the songs are still all EXCELLENT. YES I give that shit five stars and I’d give more if I could and what about it? I am very cheetah-nostalgic right now. we going ✈️ cheetah-depression.
idk what took me so long to watch this movie but waiting 4 years wasn’t even enough to get me prepared for that... I am amazed, hurt, delighted and offended, and I’m both loving and hating it. this movie is so great I hate it.
