Corporate greed overpowering humanity.
When a movie opens with a cop shooting the assailant in the face even when she is down with multiple gun shots on body that means the director means business.
Possessor is about Tasya Vos, an elite, corporate assassin who takes control of other people's bodies using brain-implant technology to execute high-profile targets.
Possessor establishes its main player vos with sheer perfection as from the starting itself you get to understand the personality of vos on a deeper level as even though she is a master at her work but is constantly shaken by it too as it starts taking a toll on her both physically and emotionally to the point she couldn't differentiate between whats real and whats not and all of that is portrayed by the phenomenal performance by the cast.
With meticulous attention to detail given not just to characters but also to the practical effects that were used in all the unfiltered and relentless violent scenes, even the sequences when two personalities are trying to take over a single body were literally one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have witnessed in a long time.
Possessor is a perfect psychological horror that always keeps you guessing and doesn't spoon feeds you every detail and plot twist keeping you always engaged in the narrative and giving you a really cold and brutal ending of the most literal sense of the word.
Possessor is a masterpiece imo and deserves all the praise, all i wish was there were more movies like this.
