Of the 2021 Oscar nominated films I’ve seen so far this is definitely one of the best. And although I’ve yet to see Mank (but I will soon), Riz Ahmed gave my personal favourite performance of the year thus far. 
Excellent.

This really made me miss my own grandma, who was also a swearing, card-playing, non-cookie-making grandma.

Omg this was comedic gold!!! Crowe and Gosling were great together, but the real standout was Angourie Rice as Gosling’s precocious daughter. Lou sold me on this after we watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and I was not disappointed in the least!!  I laughed out loud too many times to count ;)

Ah, I love Quentin’s love story. Pam Grier is my all time fav actress, but the entire cast is great. Wonderful soundtrack, Quentin’s unbeatable dialogue, his robot voice on an answering machine, a wonderful watch partner (Lou)... this is perfection for me *chef’s kiss*
