Ian Stratta’s review published on Letterboxd:
The mime sequences (directed by the wonderful Alma Har’el) and acting class scenes are magical. Moni is a true inspiration of an artist.
In some ways though, I wish this dove deeper into the connection between pantomime and his own history. The film definitely acts as an interesting historical look at a person, but much of it fails to look further in my eyes.
I liked the choice to focus on one of his students, Alex Scharp, quite a bit. Really added a lot for me.
