when a conversation starts under something important in which socially we are unable to fully understand or participate, the most polite action to do is to listen and pay attention, so that you can then fight for it in your own ways. and sometimes this small action in someone's eyes is a threat. as clearly portrayed in this film. honestly it becomes increasingly difficult to comprehend the perception of some people when a film like this is released, and this was not the only one this year and it seems that the receptions will always be divided, which is sad, at the very least. i'm not familiar with jeferson de's filmography but this film certainly piqued my interest in his projects, and i hope that someday all lives matter , but all lives won't matter until black lives do.
