i have 2 braincells. 27yo. here so i can stop annoying my friends😔
bizarre in a way i wasn’t expecting? but quite a fun watch. i love a grovelling ethan hawke and there were a few bits of pretty and intimate scenes that were perfect for my mood. enjoyed the budding friendship of maggie and gorgette!! the scene where they were sort of co-parenting was *chefs kiss* so lovely and tender. john as a character was ridiculous saved only by hawke’s charm tbqh.
all i can really say is so many things happened. soooo many things. i’m not entirely sure if all the stories needed to be interwoven the way they were? maybe it better fits in the novel than the film. it was super intricate though, second half slaps harder than the beginning. tom holland has range.
i refuse to speak on robert pattinson. i’m still hearing “DELUSIONSSSSS” in my head.
i watched this a couple years ago as part of homework for a module on protest around the world.
a stunning and bloody film chronicling the gwangju uprising. one of my fav things i’ve ever seen. despite how much it covers you never tire of the story or the lens through which it is told. so many things about this uprising and the government censorship of it in real time are truly shocking. the film conveyed it all so well…
