It's definitely a good horror. In the end, it lacked something special in my eyes, but that didn't change the fact that it was fun to watch.
On a technical level, there's nothing to complain about. It looked nice, the score was great, the performances were thrilling. I'm also happy that the characters weren't empty and lifeless puppets, but real people that you just couldn't help but root for. The action-packed scenes were pretty exciting, too. Pacing was fine, only the start was a bit slower.
And in the plot, there were some surpirses, but for some reason I wasn't always very invested or excited about everything that was happening. Yes, there were creepy and badass moments, but I didn't end up loving them for some reason. I don't think it's because it lacked shock value or something like that, since I usually don't expect that from movies at all and I certainly didn't expect it here. There was one fairly chilling scene that I liked a lot and thought it was done very well, but that was it. Well, it was still definitely worth a watch, though.
