    Good Time

i’ve seen this so many times and everyone talks about the editing, rob pat, and how chaotic it can be but i just want to mention  the final scene with nick in his new class. Its one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie cuz it really exemplifies how much care the safdies show for their characters. underneath all the anxiety attacks the characters are so beautifully human. They always get chances to move forward not backwards, some do some don’t just like real life.

angry and in your face from the very first scene i can’t believe spike actually got this made then won an oscar 18 years later but this was amazing. more than a movie to me i got a pit in my stomach everytime i was able to connect something that happened in the movie to recent events. manray dancing on the table looks exactly like black artists performing on top of desks for records executives. what a beautiful beautiful movie, i don’t have much to say except that this was delightful, heartwarming, and crushing all at the same time. I can’t wait to watch this over and over.

idk how a film can be so depressing & heartwarming at the same time but i love this movie and in a weird way it’s almost becoming a comfort film. I don’t even have to get into the colors, the score and camera work the story itself does it for me. everything else is just extra icing on the cake.
