favorites alternate, pretty posters only
i’ve seen this so many times and everyone talks about the editing, rob pat, and how chaotic it can be but i just want to mention the final scene with nick in his new class. Its one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie cuz it really exemplifies how much care the safdies show for their characters. underneath all the anxiety attacks the characters are so beautifully human. They always get chances to move forward, some do some don’t just like real life.
“So I want to try something.”
“I want to see if you stay together or if you dissolve into molecules.”
“How am I doing?”
“Good I like being here.”
This the one. Everything I expected from the first one comes to life here and I loved every second. 80 minutes of recalling memories, dreams, and lost time. Cinematic hugs like this make up for the hugs we miss out on these days. Perfect film.
