Insane. This is the one word that I would use to described this movie.

The film is about a lonely widow who decides that after 7 years after his wife’s death, he will go back to dating. After running an audition for a ‘film’, he meets the perfect woman. The start of the movie is relatively slow and it stays like this for most of the movie. The main characters keeps you interested as well as hints to the insanity…

    From Up on Poppy Hill

Finally, i have now watched every Studio Ghibli film and the studio is by far my favourite animation (or just film in general) company. As From Up On Poppy Hill was the last film to see, i was incredibly excited to watch and had high hopes. While my expectations weren’t exactly met, it was still an entertaining enough film. It never got boring or tedious but it also never got me at the edge of my seat. It was just…
