Uh oh, did someone make another zombie film that presents no nuanced philosophical conundrums in a world where zombies exist?

No actually this film does that.

The black and white frames with the time overlayed are meant to build up the tension as we get closer to Bishop's exexution. But in reality they're just an excrutiating reminder of how much you still have to sit through.

A surprisingly refreshing film. Tarantino seems more unbound by his previous films than I'm articulate enough to explain. He restrains himself, saving up his violent currency allowing us to get the full cathartic effect when he spends it all on the Manson Family.
