too much build up for too little pay off, i hoped for some interesting commentary on religion/faith/christianity but the movie doesnt really go into it that much, it doesnt feel biblical at all, i dont see any interesting parallels or anything. i dont know enough about maud to care about her loneliness, she's just a weird girl from a horror movie. it wasn't bad, it tries to be ambitious but there's not much underneath the surface.
also god's voice cheapened the whole thing for me
