    Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey

This was fun and cute once you overlook the blatant colorism. And the songs were nice too

  • The Terminal

    The Terminal

Me twenty minutes in watching an unidentified character walk in the background of a scene: AHH ITS DIEGO LUNA 👁👄👁

But also this was nice and heartwarming. I appreciate that. And the “what are you waiting for?” “I was waiting for you” line was just 🥺

    Where'd You Go, Bernadette

very much love watching emotional family dramas with carefully crafted monologues adapted by and directed by richard linklater 😭 the way the ending had me tearing up 😭

  • Midnight at the Magnolia

    Midnight at the Magnolia

The issue with hallmark movies is that absolutely nobody ever has chemistry with anyone...like ever. Not the leads, not the supporting characters...literally gives nothing 🙄

Also, the male lead was like “ACTING!! *insert man shouting loudly dressed in period clothing for an off broadway play” and the female lead was like “eh acting is fun...i guess.” They're acting wasnt bad per se, it was just two different tones 😭.

  • Crazy Rich Asians

    Crazy Rich Asians

The ending plane deceleration scene singlehandedly brought back the rom com era.

  • Holidate

I mean this in the non rudest way possible, but...is this really how white people are. Like the fourth of July scene, the constant recklessness in public spaces, the...interesting way they raise their children??

Anywayssssss an extra half star for the misogyny. Misogyny is necessary fo a any good rom com.

Also to judge it based off of my Hallmark Holiday Rating System:

    white people ☑️
black side character with 3 lines ☑️
red and green color palette: kind of?
    free youtube background music ❌
    enemies to lovers ☑️
small town: idk because why did they see him at the mall so many times??

  • The Broken Hearts Gallery

    The Broken Hearts Gallery

Me watching this with my sister and not wanting to show any emotions: Oh, yeah that was nice. 😃

Me the second she turns her back: 😭😭😭 this is still so sweet. I’m crying. I’m crying.

  • Hope Floats

    Hope Floats

Lol, why did I just find out that Forest Whitaker directed this???

Anyways, I like this movie. I know it’s more of a drama with romantic elements but the relationships especially the mother/daughter one just make me so sad.

  • The Broken Hearts Gallery

    The Broken Hearts Gallery

I started getting that weird type of happy where you get teary eyed around 7 minutes and 46 seconds, so I had a pretty strong idea where this would end up aka me actually full on crying (like multiple tears streaming down my face) at 2 am on a Wednesday.

As an official rom com connoisseur, this was really cute and fun and I need it to get on streaming services ASAP, so more people can watch. I didn’t really…

  • A Bronx Tale

    A Bronx Tale

Haven't seen this in so long but ugh it’s just sooo good!! Like the score, the acting, the romance, the plot, the tropes, everything just hits so much.

And Robert De Niro pushing the anti swirl agenda in this whilst being one of the defining swirlers in filmé history will always make me laugh.

    Halloween H20: 20 Years Later

too much blood and scary stuff. not enough gay subtext.

still quite scary though (jump scare wise anyways)
