Joe’s review published on Letterboxd:
Reds, Blues, Yellows, Greens, Purples
Amazing how Beatty progressed as a director from Heaven Can Wait, a fairly drab and TV-like visual presentation, to this, one of the most visually sumptuous Hollywood productions of all time (still need to see Reds, the middle step between the two, soon). I'm also impressed that unlike a lot of movies of this type especially nowadays it doesn't attempt to update the source material at all or add any up-to-date relevance, unless you count Madonna's sexual innuendoes, in which case I hope you like counting! Desert island material for me.
